A few words about myself:

All through my affiliation to sports had been as a spectator,

Until 2011 when I made up my mind that I wanted to quit smoking (after many previous attempts), I was recommended to start exercising regularly, and the obvious recommendation was to run as good cardio, and I suppose that was the best combination I could choose.

I did start running regularly, when a colleague and a friend Shafi Kana, would raise the bar from a 5K to a 10K, and that’s when a Shafi got me to register for the best half marathon in the world.

Hence the journey as a runner had started, and there has been no looking back.

running has introduced me to this community that is now a part of life, The Friday morning runs are a ritual which cannot be missed, even if it means that I have gone to sleep way past midnight.

I have not been a major traveler but have been able to do races in and around Dubai, Marathons, half-marathons, and also an Ultra.

There is something magical about running; after a certain distance, it transcends the body. Then a bit further, it transcends the mind. A bit further yet, and what you have before you, laid bare, is the soul.”

Every time I run it's with the mindset that if I die at this race, it's OK."

I run because if I didn’t, I’d be sluggish and glum and spend too much time on the couch. I run to breathe the fresh air. I run to explore. I run to escape the ordinary. I run…to savor the trip along the way. Life becomes a little more vibrant, a little more intense. I like that.”

The world is actually full of challenges and we need to challenge ourselves. I took a challenge to run that fast. It consumes a lot of energy especially mentally. But I took myself and accepted to be challenged and I challenged the time.”
