I started my running journey in 2013 (please read my blog post WHY I RUN) for the full story on how I first got into it and what has kept me going until now. I love new challenges and through running I have found that I really love pushing myself out of my comfort zone to prove to myself and others that anything is possible. When I’m not running you can find me doing anything that allows me to be creative, or rescuing an animal from the streets of Dubai as I am a huge animal lover.

The Dubai Ironman 70.3 is one of my biggest achievements because I couldn’t swim when I registered for this event so I felt a huge sense of achievement when I crossed that finish line. The Comrades Ultra Marathon is also a huge achievement for me as I never would have imagined that I could run 90 kilometres without stopping.

There is something magical about running; after a certain distance, it transcends the body. Then a bit further, it transcends the mind. A bit further yet, and what you have before you, laid bare, is the soul.”

Every time I run it's with the mindset that if I die at this race, it's OK."

I run because if I didn’t, I’d be sluggish and glum and spend too much time on the couch. I run to breathe the fresh air. I run to explore. I run to escape the ordinary. I run…to savor the trip along the way. Life becomes a little more vibrant, a little more intense. I like that.”
