And a few words about yourself:

What started off as an unenjoyable yet beneficial form of training during my squash playing days, running has turned out to become a very big part of my life. Thirty-three years later I no longer play squash but am still running and enjoying the sport as much as ever. The people I have met, the experiences which I have encountered, and the places at which I have had the privilege of running during all those years has been phenomenal, half of which was whilst being a member of DCS !!!

There is something magical about running; after a certain distance, it transcends the body. Then a bit further, it transcends the mind. A bit further yet, and what you have before you, laid bare, is the soul.”

Every time I run it's with the mindset that if I die at this race, it's OK."

I run because if I didn’t, I’d be sluggish and glum and spend too much time on the couch. I run to breathe the fresh air. I run to explore. I run to escape the ordinary. I run…to savor the trip along the way. Life becomes a little more vibrant, a little more intense. I like that.”

The world is actually full of challenges and we need to challenge ourselves. I took a challenge to run that fast. It consumes a lot of energy especially mentally. But I took myself and accepted to be challenged and I challenged the time.”
